Background

About Lori Bhatia

I am a physical science professional with over ten years of government work and educational research experience. My professional interests include environmental planning, education, resource management, natural hazards, and GIS. Work experience with the U.S. Geological Survey has advanced my understanding of environmental management issues. It has provided me with a love for field work and a confident ability for physical outdoor activity. My educational background includes advanced research at UC Santa Barbara and San Francisco State. Along with being educated, I am a confident problem-solver and a loyal and dedicated employee. I have technical expertise in coastal mapping methods, spatial analysis and geographic and cartographic concepts. With a passion for the environment and geographic concepts, I am seeking employment with an organization dedicated to increasing public awareness of environmental issues. Presently, I have chosen to focus my efforts raising children, working as a stay at home mother to three young boys. Now that our family is complete, I am eager to re-enter the workforce. I hope to be considered for my past accomplishments and future potential as a highly motivated, friendly, organized, and dedicated professional.
