The past year I began a new chapter of my life in banking. The 25 years prior were spent in retail, convenience retail and management. After 6 years at a big box warehouse type store, wearing many different hats, I began a 14+ year stretch with Irving Oil/Circle K as an assistant manager for 2 years and then as Store Manager. This job enabled me to find myself and grow and to provide a good life for my children. Many people from Irving Oil had such a positive impact on my life. After moving from Maine to Florida in 2010 I stayed with Circle K as a store manager until 11/2011 where I was recruited for a management position by Pilot Travel Centers. As I was about to turn 50 I decided it was time to slow down. Having always been good with numbers and enjoying doing paperwork and wanting to stay in the customer service industry, I decided to try banking. It’s a great fit for me and will most likely take me to my retirement years.
