About Lori Cates

With 12 years of experience in the legal recruiting industry, in my current role as Kilpatrick's Senior Attorney Recruiting Manager I focus on recruiting entry-level talent for our US offices. I oversee campus outreach and events, including on-campus interview programs, and the planning and execution of our Summer Program, which is consistently ranked in the top 20 in the nation. Prior to solely focusing on entry-level recruiting, I also handled lateral associate recruiting for our east coast offices and Texas. In this ever-evolving legal recruiting landscape, I provide strategic guidance to Firm Leadership and our Hiring Committee by staying up to date on market trends and best practices. I'm also passionate about building a meaningful Summer Program experience for our Summer Associates that provides them with professional development opportunities, the ability to gain real-world experience through substantive work assignments, and opportunities to build relationships with our attorneys to support their long-term success as an attorney, as well as our success as a firm. As a recruiter, I love being a small part of someone's journey in finding their career path. Law firms are talent-based organizations, so it's rewarding to be able to meaningfully contribute to my firm's continued success. After more than a decade in Atlanta, my family and I moved to Huntsville, AL and I now work remotely to support all of our US offices.
