About Lori Crose

Lori Crose Bio Lori Crose is currently the Director of Operations and Development for Strategic Programs at Oakland University (OU). In this position she has responsibility for developing and implementing operational policies for professional development at OU as well as administrative and budget responsibility for educational programs including credit and non-credit certificates, re-licensure training, certification training and retooling programs at and above the post-bachelor level. In addition, she is responsible for developing high quality, new and innovative programming that will align with county, state, and federal employment trends and is charged with connecting with government and with the business community. She was previously with the School of Business Administration at OU for 10 years in various positions in the professional development area and has extensive experience in counseling the adult student population. Prior to working at OU, she worked extensively in the healthcare industry, including work as a senior microbiologist at Pharmacia Upjohn in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Prior to this she worked as a laboratory research assistant at the Illinois State University and Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. She earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration in 2002 from Oakland University and a Bachelor’s degree from Illinois College in 1981. She is a current member of the Oakland County Workforce Development Business Roundtable and serves as Oakland University Representative for Oakland County Emerging Sectors Educational Consortium.
