About Lori Fickling

I am the President/CEO of the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce and past Denton County Economic Development Director. My experience and education have led me to a career that includes everything I enjoy – communications, marketing, public relations, economic development, government relations, creative writing and public speaking. For ten years I was president of the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce, where I sharpened my skills in these fields and many others. My strengths include strong leadership and communication skills, especially through writing and public speaking, and an ability to manage a wide variety of responsibilities simultaneously and effectively. I’m a self-motivated, creative thinker with results-oriented skills, and over the years I have converted my interests into careers. In addition to nonprofit development, chamber of commerce, and economic development, I also spent several years as a newspaper editor and writer, and several more as an interior designer. I also own a company called iTrendz Communications, a social media marketing company helping businesses find and effectively utilize the social media platforms that work best for their organization.
