About Lori Hufty M.

I am a behavioral health professional and educator with over 15 years of experience in youth-focused service delivery, program supervision, and college-level instruction. My passion lies in empowering transition-age youth, particularly those aging out of foster care, to access the tools they need to thrive in education, employment, and independent living. As the LifeSet Program Supervisor at Acenda Integrated Health, I had the privilege of launching the LifeSet initiative in New Jersey—an intensive program supporting vulnerable young adults through evidence-based, individualized services. I also collaborated with the Urban Institute as part of a pilot evaluation that assessed the effectiveness of LifeSet compared to other aftercare programs. In addition to my work in behavioral health, I serve as an adjunct English instructor at Rowan College of South Jersey and Camden County College, where I’ve taught composition and writing since 2009. My academic foundation in English and Educational Leadership, paired with ongoing doctoral studies in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Health, allows me to bring a unique, integrative approach to both teaching and service delivery. I’m particularly interested in research and program evaluation, trauma-informed practices, and creating sustainable systems that bridge gaps between clinical care, education, and lived experience. I welcome opportunities to collaborate on initiatives that improve outcomes for youth, veterans, and underserved communities.
