Leads strategy creation and execution in development and delivery of sourcing and technical architecture for solutions in Bid and Proposal responses · Develops vendor sourcing strategy for initial cost development and identifies pricing programs to leverage to minimize cost and maximize the opportunity for success · Works with purchasing team to ensure cost and pricing accuracy and to troubleshoot and correct margin deficiencies · Directly impacts Achievement to Budget for both Revenue and Margin · Does crucial work with Key vendors, on pricing, programs, performance, innovation, and training. · Works with Suppliers to ensure they provide Staples with consistently accurate pricing and deliverables as well as ongoing added value and programs. · Integral to the planning, development, and implementation of pricing and sourcing tools as well as Salesforce processes that support the team. · Is the focal point for collection of ideas and feedback from Sales and Internal teams and regularly uses these to promote change and improvements in Department processes and deliverables. · Works on Bid Strategies with Tech Sales leadership for and those of other SBU teams. · Negotiates Deal Pricing with Manufacturer and Wholesaler Management level associates · Provides Training and Dept. Updates to Sales management and their Sales team · Participates in Funnel reviews with Key Manufacturer and Wholesaler sales leadership teams · Oversees responsibilities and performance of the team. · Develops and hires for new job roles to support ever-changing Tech requirements
