About Lori Lund

I am a driven professional offering in-depth experience in healthcare and non-profit settings. I am an excellent communicator with strengths in public relations, daily operations and customer service. I am friendly and relatable with diligent follow through while keeping an eye on details to make sure the big picture gets painted beautifully. I do not back down from the task(s) before me - no matter the size, whether it's as small as a mustard seed or unmovable sequoia. I will always do what I can and obtain help when necessary. My current role is to keep the A/R in current standings. I am in constant contact with insurance companies to discuss patient treatments and submit necessary documentation to ensure timely payment of services. I answer questions from patients regarding billing questions and obtain payment for any outstanding balances. I explain dental insurance policies and schedule treatments. I record referral sources and manage the marketing efforts for the office. While at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center I managed the Physician Relations Coordinators. I helped raise instead of "brand awareness", it was "protocol awareness" among referring physicians in the states of Texas and Louisiana. I built professional relationships with referring physicians and their staff by in-person visits, as well as email and phone call follow ups. They came to rely on me as a point of contact to help them in times of crisis communication for their mutual patients. While at M.D. Anderson, I also coordinated and attended national medical conferences. I also spent time serving in leadership positions in PTO at my children's school. I served as Hospitality Coordinator, VP of Fundraising and eventually President. In my years there, the funds we raised helped provide additional classroom supplies, as well as field trips and new playground equipment. I was recognized and honored by the Klein School District as Volunteer of the Month in October 2016. I am a single mom who ran a household of three kids at one point. One has graduated with a Master's from Texas A&M, one is a college athlete at SMU and my youngest is in the top 4% of his class in a 6A school. I can set goals for myself, lead others to set goals for themselves and help them achieve those goals with great success. I can and will do the same for your company.
