About Lori M. Smith

After spending 11 years in the field of emergency services (911 operator), I went back to school and obtained an Associates of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice. While attending school, I served as President for the Lambda Alpha Epsilon/American Criminal Justice Association, Seattle chapter where our main focus will be on giving back to the community and organizing fun and informative criminal justice type activities for the members of the club. After completing my Associates program, I went on to work at Kaiser Permanente (formerly Group Health) starting off in the Customer Service department, moving on to the Appointing department and ending up in the Appeals Department. After a year as an Appeals Specialist, I am now employed as an Appeals Coordinator where my duties are to process denied pre and post-services appealed by Kaiser members.
