About Lori Nock

As a teacher at MV-LA Union HS District for over 23 years, I create and deliver engaging and innovative curricula that foster critical thinking, empathy, cultural literacy, and resilience among students. I also design and implement synchronous and asynchronous distance learning as well as in-person and blended activities, using various platforms and tools such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, Captivate, Krita, and more. In addition to teaching, I was a visual art instructor at City of Sunnyvale, teaching ceramics, drawing and painting to adults and children in a diverse and inclusive studio setting. I am also an instructional design consultant with over 19 years of experience, providing graphic design, branding, commercial photography, video, web, and print to web solutions to various clients. I apply IT methodology and best reflective practices, as well as industry-standard methodology, to create effective and engaging learning experiences. As an academic I collaborate in peer-reviewed research in classrooms, clinical, and community settings, contributing to the advancement of educational theory and practice.
