About Lori Postage

For the majority of my career, I have been a volleyball coach and language arts/reading teacher. I took several years off to raise my 5 children, and I am now focused on my career again. I have just completed the Master's in Athletic Administration program at Ohio University, and I am now pursuing a career in athletics for a public high school or university. While I have not yet had the opportunity to serve as an athletic director, I have had the opportunity to work with and shadow several different athletic directors over the years. My coaching experience includes being the head coach of a program in which I obtained valuable administrative experiences such as evaluating staff, preparing and maintaining a budget, tracking inventory, ordering uniforms and equipment, and communicating with the media. I feel my strengths are in event management and planning as well as fundraising and communicating. I have successfully organized many events in my various roles as a teacher, coach, and student club adviser over the last 20 years. I am now ready to bring this experience to an interscholastic or intercollegiate athletic department. I am highly interested in event management and planning.
