I am a Provincial Manager, Project and Business Solutions, Health Information Management at Alberta Health Services (AHS), with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector. I hold an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and several certifications, such as CIPP/C, CHIM, and CAHIMS, that demonstrate my expertise and credibility in health information and records management, clinical informatics, and electronic health records (EHR). In my current role, I lead a team of professionals who support the planning, development, and implementation of and clinical information systems (CIS) across the province. I leverage my skills and knowledge in healthcare information technology (HIT) and electronic medical records (EMR) to facilitate the integration of health information and records management knowledge into Connect Care, the provincial CIS. I also collaborate with various stakeholders, such as clinical and administrative working groups, vendors, and subject matter experts, to ensure the effective delivery and alignment of initiatives, strategies, and solutions that enhance the quality and accessibility of health data and information. I am committed to promoting a data-driven information culture that enables evidence-based decision making and improves health outcomes for Albertans.
