Award-winning author, entrepreneur, and psychologist, Lori Sokol, PhD. is the Executive Director of Women's eNews, a global, non-profit digital news service that provides in-depth coverage of the most crucial issues impacting women and girls around the world. Dr. Sokol was previously Founder/President of Sokol Media, Inc, publisher of business magazines covering a number of pertinent social issues including gender equality, the needs of working parents, and environmental sustainability. Passionately committed to addressing these and related topics, Dr. Sokol strives to empower individuals to triumph over gender-related societal limits through the media. Her articles have been published in Newsweek, The Baltimore Sun, Slate.com, Ms. Magazine and The Huffington Post, and she has been interviewed by a number of major news outlets including MSNBC, CNBC, Forbes and the Wall Street Journal. Dr. Sokol represented the US at IWFCI in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she presented on the topic: The Impact of Women Leaders on the Global Economy. Dr. Sokol was also profiled in 'About Face,' an installation at Art Basel Miami, spanning the entire spectrum from women’s rights activists, artists, intersectional and non-binary feminists.
