About Lori Stephens

I am addicted to learning. I am competitive with myself and supportive of my colleagues. I am empathetic, respectful, genuine, and professional. Being professional is about showing respect, following policy, and having leadership qualities like treating employees with respect and kindness, setting good examples, and delegating responsibilities effectively and efficiently. I am a lifelong learner and have the drive to make an impact in the lives of disenfranchised and vulnerable populations. I need my work to be meaningful in helping society and love work that stimulates both my intellect and empathy. As a social introvert, I work well in small teams or independently, and due to my B.S. in Psychology, I understand human behavior-sometimes a bit too much. I love learning from colleagues as well as teaching others. My M.A. in Educational Psychology has helped me understand different aspects of learning that impact my teaching and motivating others. I also LOVE data. ANY data. Data makes me excited because there is learning potential! I have an M.S. in Quantitative Psychology. I have helped design research, collect data, and perform statistical data analyses. My skills include experience using Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, SPSS, SQL, and R, and I am open to learning new software. I have skills in qualitative and quantitative research including interviewing and coding qualitative data for analysis and have contributed to three academic publications.
