My work is known for its color and joyous vibe. I specialize in creating visually inviting, unique and fun displays. My experiences keep me moving with international travels, self-started businesses, and constantly staying up to date on the latest trends. Over my 15+ year career I’ve had the pleasure of working with thousands of clients getting to know them, their tastes, their styles, and their personal needs. With that they’ve gotten to know me by my fun, funky, and personalized approach to business. I’ve worked across retail, fashion, interiors, a pastry chef, a runway model, a boutique owner, and across the spectrum of visual design. I’ve traveled to international markets throughout France, Belgium and Italy. I’ve run two independent business, Swem’s Sweets and Lorybird Boutique that explored my passions for art and design. No matter if I’m on the runway, in the kitchen, or redesigning the sales floor; I perform my job with an energy that can’t help but put the room in a brighter mood. Each of these experiences has become another notch in my collective impression as a businesswoman; giving me a page turning catalogue of ways to consult and connect with my clients. As a visual merchandiser and retail buyer, I combine all my best experiences between business, arts, and culture into one holistic approach. I specialize in orchestrating a store layout that invites customers to the sales floor like a favorite song. It all starts before they ever step into the door with online marketing, promotions, and positive word of mouth. Our storefront displays should exceed the expectation with a sense of whimsy, glamour, ambience, and must-see products. Once on our sales floor, it’s essential to capitalize on the circulation to keep customers interested and moving to give a clear runway to product accessibility. I see myself very similar to the host of a great celebration. Once I have the lighting, the room, the vibe, and the reason to be - all mixing together; than I can harmonize the perfect environment that personal customer connections thrive in.
