Hello there! If you are looking for a person who is a bit of a unicorn, you have stopped at the right place! I am sort of a "jack of all trades," with a little of this, and a lot of that! I love meeting people and finding out about their lives and what drives them. I try to find humor in life and make the workplace fun. A former manager of mine said he admired my work ethic, in part because I "git 'er done!" But I like to have fun "gitting 'er done!" Not surprisingly, my passion is Human Resources. I am an experienced Human Resources professional with a demonstrated history of support and resource management for large, evolutionary, IT and government contracts. I am not afraid, though, to roll up my sleeves and pitch in wherever needed. Over the years, I have worked with a variety of organizations from furniture retail to the military/government. I am proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel). I also have a knack for many HRIS technologies. I am able to provide guidance to folks about organizational, procedural, and processes especially related to human resources. I am always looking for ways to streamline processes and improving my own skills. Specialties include staffing, onboarding, HRIS, and other HR functions. I have had the pleasure of coordinating many work-related functions, including holiday parties, picnics, celebrations and other events. I have also coordinated ladies' church retreats at offsite locations. I love to read and am active in my local church activities. I truly enjoy helping others. But above all, I love spending time with my family. One important lesson I've learned over the years is to pay it forward - and not just in the Starbucks drive through!
