About Lori Williams

I have a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. I recently completed the practicum/internship portion of my training at Brentwood Behavioral Hospital in Shreveport, under the supervision of Dr Lee Stevens, MD. I worked with patients of all ages, but primarily with adolescents and children. In addition to inpatient treatment, I also spent a large portion of my training in the adult Partial Hospitalization Program working with diverse patients who present with various psychiatric and substance abuse issues. I am mostly oriented to the Cognitive-Behavioral and Humanistic approaches to therapy; however, I am open to other approaches, such as Narrative and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am also interested in learning more about ways to augment the traditional counseling approaches with the use of various art media and techniques.
