About Lori Wright

I am a finance executive with a passion for intentional leadership, strategic growth, and infrastructure and team building at an organization that values critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, collaboration, and hard work. My unique skills include analyzing and executing on strategic decisions while building successful business relationships with staff, peers, third parties, executives and board members. I have grown with Pacific Premier Bank that was just under $4 billion when I started, and through four acquisitions grew to over $23 billion, and helped lead PPBI through a smooth and successful sale to Columbia Bank. I have managed through macroeconomic challenges, including regulatory pressures, banking industry turmoil throughout 2023, and inflation and interest rates, that led to expanding my skills as they relate to balance sheet management including liquidity, capital, hedging instruments, investment and loan sales, and loan modifications and credit considerations. I have deep knowledge of accounting topics including M&A as well as major accounting updates like CECL, revenue recognition, and leases, and I serve as a volunteer member of the AICPA's Depository Institution Expert Panel. I focus on having a positive impact on both financial performance and company culture by setting and exceeding goals in team/staff development with respect, innovative execution of multiple complex, interdepartmental and strategic projects, and alignment and commitment to a company's vision and values.
