Greetings! I am a dedicated and accomplished professional with over two decades of experience in a post-secondary environment. In 2022 I pursued my passion for academic growth and earned a Master's Degree in Cultural Studies with a specialization in Gender and Social Justice Studies from Trent University. As a Research Assistant, my approach is guided through a feminist lens as I conduct literature reviews and synthesize complex research data. Guided by the feminist research principle of connecting personal experiences to broader social and political frameworks, my research is largely centred around gender-based violence. As a Teacher, I have the privilege of facilitating various instructional activities in diverse settings, including online, in-person, and hybrid formats. Collaborating with other educational professionals, I contribute to the development of effective instructional materials and assessment strategies, aligning content with learning objectives. As a Writer, I describe my style as that of a Data-driven Storyteller. That is, I try to use empirical data to craft powerful, evidence-based narratives that shed light on contemporary issues around gender and social justice. This approach ensures my work is both credible and impactful, using facts and figures to highlight the severity of the issues while also giving voice to those affected.
