About Loris Moretti

I have always valued the idea of 'Knowledge' and the seed of becoming a scientist was there since young age. So I have always loved Science and at the university I finally found my field: Molecular Modeling, which I consider as the microscope to 'observe' the nature at the molecular level. Afterwards, I started to use it as a tool to understand the behavior of molecules and to support the Drug Discovery process along. I am passionate about Computer-Aided Drug Discovery and the training as Molecular Modeller built up the way and it is essential to tackle problems with the proper tools and point of view. I design, develop, test and apply in silico methods, from modelling as docking, pharmacophore and Molecular Dynamics, to chemoinformatics such as database mining, statistical treatment of data and molecular properties calculations.
