About Lorna Ball

Lorna is a Chartered Engineer with over twenty years experience in civil engineering and transport planning, in both Private Consultancy and Local Government environments. With a strong background in team and line management, Lorna co-ordinates resources to deliver a wide range of complex multi-disciplinary projects. Lorna has extensive project management experience, with knowledge of scheme development from concept and issue identification, through feasibility outline design to detailed design. Commercially aware with responsibilities including financial (past and forecasting) and utilisation reporting for teams. Resourcing projects and sourcing work in order to meet earnings and utilisation targets. Lorna has experience of public exhibitions, producing proofs of evidence and appearing at Public Inquiry. Lorna has also presented schemes in technical workshops and to panels on numerous occasions. Lorna is an Engineering Advisor at the University of Nottingham, providing workshop inputs to first year students and advice on project work. Previous experience also includes mentoring and carrying out Delegated Engineer duties for Civil Engineering graduates working towards professional membership.
