About Lorna Beard
I have worked with older adults and family caregivers for 30 years. Case management, information & assistance, nursing home social work and recreation. I combine my love for dance and fitness in working with older adults and family caregivers who benefit from some aspect of fitness for wellness. I became a NIA white belt in 2012 after 18 years of studying and also have a minor in dance from CSU. I hope to continue to include more wellness in my work with older adults. I have been part of the Lafayette recreation department for over 18 years. I am currently teaching a classic NIA movement class Fridays: 11:30-12:30 at The Sister Carmen Community Center in Lafayette.
