About Lorraine Trollinger

I have over twenty years of experience as an Administrator and Teacher in Pre-K through high school public and private education sectors. These experiences have been in both urban and suburban communities. This experience has strengthened my skills to effectively supervise and motivate staff, facilitate collaboration, and successfully design and implement innovative programs, technology initiatives, and policies. Over the last nine years as Principal at Abington Junior High School and Jenkintown Middle/High School I worked collaboratively with staff, students and parents to accomplish curriculum reform. Most notably, during my tenure at Abington Junior High School there were tremendous gains in student achievement coupled with a decline in discipline due to the implementation of School Wide Positive Behavior Supports (SWPBS). I have presented on this topic at several state and national conferences. While working as an Assistant Principal in California, I was fortunate to work with the Bay Area School Reform Collaborative – Annenberg Foundation Schools and was the school administrator for our Small Learning Communities Program. I received my Ed.D. in Organization and Leadership at the University of San Francisco where I was an Organization and Leadership Fellow and Merit Scholar. I am an adjunct online faculty member for Saint Joseph’s College of Maine where I teach a course on special education and inclusion. I have been an adjunct faculty member for Temple University and a guest lecturer at the University of San Francisco, as well as Kutztown University. While an Assistant Principal in Marin County, California, I was a recipient of the Secondary Administrator of the Year Award.
