Accomplished Marketing and PR Developer/Networking Professional I am a person that has always treated people the way I want to be treated and for that reason I had a very successful 25 plus year career and along the way built an amazing network of business contacts throughout this country many of whom I consider friends til this very day. Contacts from so many various fields including Finance; Entertainment; Sports; Travel/Hospitality; Legal; Politics and Medicine to name a few. In the late 1980’s I was part of a small team in Jacksonville that helped build swimwear-manufacturing company (10 employees) into what became the largest mail order swimwear company in the country (385 employees). VENUS SWIMWEAR did sales of in 1989 and topped out in 2006 the year the company was purchased by a large conglomerate. While at VENUS I coordinated all the photo shoots throughout the world and helped create our mail order catalogs.It was also during this period that I gained my first knowledge of the entertainment industry as I would do product placement on various film and television shows. Many of the young professionals I would work with during that period would rise to the top of the industry including the President of LIONSGATE Television, VP at William Morris Agency; VP at MGM, Legal Director at Sony Pictures numerous award winning producers and directors and many accomplished models and actors. With this knowledge after we sold VENUS I helped start my own production company and produced 3 films. In 2015 Hired as a brand consultant for the DARRYL STRAWBERRY RECOVER CENTER in Orlando operated by Oglethorpe. Serving as talent management for Darryl Strawberry a large part of my responsibilities as brand management for multiple mediums, such as television appearances, interviews, PR and the development of Darryl’s latest book, “Don’t Give Up On Me, Shedding Light on Addiction” released in 2017. I was responsible for radio and television promotional appearances, including Darryl making appearances on: LATE NIGHT with JIMMY FALLON; The DOCTOR OZ Show; CBS THE DOCTORS as well as numerous network news interviews. Most recently developed a PR and media campaign for former NFL star Vance Johnson who has partnered with Oglethorpe to open THE VANCE JOHNSON RECOVERY CENTER in Las Vegas Nevada. Last year helped develop Vance’s new book, “UNCOVERED/ Why Becoming Less Became Everything. It is that large network of professionals and friends that aided to my success over the years and makes me a valuable asset to any potential employer.
