I am passionate about the construction industry especially in relation to managing the commercial aspects of a build. It is my goal to ensure that the cost on every project I am involved with is stringently controlled ensuring decisions are made with budget, programme and quality in mind. I do this by proactively collaborating with the project team and all stakeholders to ensure that outcomes are beneficial to all maintaining a good working relationship. I pride myself on teamwork and achieving a common goal. Efficiency can only be achieved when everyone is working together for the same outcome. I have seven and a half years of experience in the construction industry and as a Quantity Surveyor. In that time, I have been known for stringent cost control and working well as a part of a project team. I have a proven track record of producing profits during procurement and working with younger members of the team to ensure they are developing their own skills. Areas of Expertise and Key Achievements- Cost Control: I have completed the full reporting of costs on a large scale project to senior members of the commercial team whilst utilizing vital input from the day to day project team- Procurement: I have been entrusted with high value packages on all three projects I have worked on ensuring profits are maximized - Client Engagement: I have been in direct contact with Clients from the very first project I worked on, this is because of my professional attitude. I have been heavily involved with Provisional Sum work due to my knowledge of timescales and assisting Client's with achieving the breif- Contract Negotiation: I have most recently been involved with the negotiation of the Main Contract for a large project. This has involved understanding risk as well as knowledge of JCT D&B 2016- Teamwork: I have always had a good relationship with all members of the project team including colleagues, Sub-Contractors, Consultants, Clients etc In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching football. I enjoy reading about new and innovative construction projects and methods.
