I am a qualified and experienced Legal Professional, with a strong career record that spans private practice and in-house legal counsel in the the guarantee and insurance industry in South Africa and the public procurement environment in the United Kingdom. I have been working at NEC Software Solutions UK Limited since January 2022 initially in the role of Paralegal while I was finalising my dual qualification as a solicitor in the Senior Courts of England and Wales and recently promoted to Legal Counsel having passed all the SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Examinations) admission exams. My role involves all aspects of customer facing legal work across the various business sectors of Public Safety, Local & Central Government, Transport and Health and advising on a range of legal matters including contract law and procurement. My experience in managing complex business legal matters has developed a strong understanding of diverse jurisdictions and legal systems to confidently manage multi-jurisdiction deals and negotiations. I am well versed in leading teams of individuals and working cross-functionally with stakeholders’ business-wide to manage legalities, improve processes and drive efficiencies. I pride myself on my acute commercial acumen and broad business perspective, ensuring the continual development of close relationships with the business and its clients. Additionally, I spearhead projects with the objective of adding value, incorporating the conduct of risk assessment analysis, ensuring sensitivity towards risks developed in extensive litigation exposure.
