About Louisa Appleton

As a designer at Learning Nexus, I have made more digital learning courses than I can count, learned more than I ever expected, picked up software like it was a cold, challenged myself more than I thought I could, drawn more forklifts than I was expecting to in my lifetime and found that 'putlog' is a good word. As well as these niche skills, I have co-created an animated series called eBytes, which feature a very daft bunch of monsters, all of which have their own quirks, names and reasons why they're rarely used (I'm looking at you, Bump). The eBytes are my favourite work - they even taught me that storyboarding is almost the best bit, as that's where you get to inject the fun. My job has taught me more than how to make a monster move though, it's given me valuable skills in branding, matching client styles, matching art styles of others, team work, project workflows, project timelines and how to not be nervous before calls anymore.
