I am an experienced union leader and organisational strategist with over 20 years in the trade union movement and industrial relations. My expertise spans team and leadership development, operational management, budgeting, and strategic workforce planning: skills I’ve used to strengthen unions and build power for working people across diverse sectors. Over the course of my career, I’ve led high-performing teams, mentored organisers and industrial staff, and supported the development of workplace leaders. A key focus of my work has been creating inclusive, member-led cultures that prioritise growth, accountability, and sustainable organising. I’ve built systems that support staff capability, performance, and wellbeing; ensuring teams are resourced, supported, and aligned with broader organisational goals. In addition to my industrial expertise, I bring a strong background in operational and financial management. I’ve overseen complex budgets, supported strategic planning processes, and ensured alignment between national campaigns and local delivery. My approach combines a clear strategic vision with the ability to implement and operationalise that vision at every level of an organisation. Whether leading enterprise bargaining, running delegate training programs, or managing teams through change, I focus on building strong, values-driven cultures that centre workers and deliver long-term impact. Currently leading union advocacy and member organising at the Australian Medical Association (AMA), I remain focused on building power, strategy, and sustainable leadership structures. I’m committed to contributing to long-term impact across the labour movement and open to meaningful conversations about leadership, strategy, and organisational development.
