Ok here’s the scoop…. I’m not officially a baker, I’m a bit of a Jack of All Trades to be honest! I started out in Geology / Manufacturing Engineering, re-trained as an Interior Designer 9 years ago while pregnant with my third child. But it wasn't until I opened Cake 2 The Rescue in 2012 that I finally found my place to stand in the business world. I love that I now have a job that lets me use my left brain, right brain and the experience of motherhood all rolled into one! I’ve always looked up to strong women who believe in themselves, know what they want and set about achieving their dreams. After 11 years of being mum I felt lost, struggling to find a career that inspired me but still allow me the flexibility to be mum. Launching Cake 2 The Rescue has fulfilled all my needs, I guess you could say it rescued me. My Vision is to make Cake 2 The Rescue a household name. To provide all parents the tools and confidence to bake a homemade birthday cakes for their child. As an on-line SME owner, I have dedicated a large portion of my time to fine tuning my social media, SEO and digital marketing analysis skills. Cake 2 The Rescue has a strong presence across all social media platforms, an engaged group of newsletter subscribers, a new gaming App "Baker Girl Lou" and will release it's interactive on-line kids play page mid 2015 I was recently asked to sit on the panel for the ACS seminar Women in IT "Breaking the glass ceiling"
