About Louise Illman

2 years' experience in Recruitment, I have extensive experience in candidate attraction and resourcing. For me it is all about the candidate journey and ensuring they come away from the process with a positive impression of the business they have interviewed for. I began my career as an administrator for the wider recruitment team with duties such as arranging interviews, standardising CVs and putting together statistics on recruitment trends. I was then promoted to an Account Manager for a fixed-fee agency which worked with around 100-200 clients of varying sizes and in varying sectors. I would work directly with clients to ensure their job advertisements were attracting the right talent, including optimisation and then providing them with the tools to fully utilise the ATS system. As well as working with clients, my role was expanded into candidate management. I worked on several contingencies in a range of sectors from engineering to care. I conducted first-stage telephone calls with candidates to find out more about what they were looking for in their next career move and then matched this with the clients. I made a significant number of placements in a particularly difficult time to recruit. I then moved into internal recruitment, working with a leading international provider of digital transformation and technology. Here I liaised with key stakeholders to recruit exceptional colleagues and provide a fantastic candidate journey at every step. I took responsibility for an internal IT role where I significantly increased views and applications on external advertising using optimisation techniques, leading to a placement.I am now working with Rullion as an Account Consultant, working on a range of Rail Contract positions.
