I am an experienced Costs Lawyer with a strong track record of handling a wide range of costs cases – from straightforward matters to highly complex and high-value disputes – on behalf of both Claimants and Defendants. I take great pride in my attention to detail and the consistent quality of my work, which has earned the trust of clients who return to me time and again. In 2020, with over a decade of experience in the legal costs industry, I took a leap of faith with my husband, Derek, to establish BarnsChapel Costs Law. It was a bold move, especially in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, but we were driven by a shared belief that we could offer something better: a more personal, high-quality service from a small, family-run business. Having worked in other costs firms, I’d seen first-hand how clients were often let down by inconsistent service and poor outcomes. With BarnsChapel, we set out to change that. More than four years on, we continue to grow, thanks to our loyal clients – some of whom I’ve worked with for over a decade – and the many new clients who’ve trusted us with their costs work.
