About Louka Parry

Welcome to my digital self-expression on LinkedIN. I’m a perpetual learner and adventurer. I speak five languages, have visited over 80 countries, and remain deeply curious about creativity, human development, and why joy so often gets squeezed out of life just when we need it most. I’m fascinated by how you are learning, growing and staying human, especially in a world obsessed with speed, attention hacking and optimisation. I believe learning and living should feel more like music than machinery. And so it's clear, I'm someone who will 100% stop to play a public piano if I see one, hoping to get a group of strangers signing together (which I achieve often). I’m Founder and CEO of The Learning Future, where we work with schools and organisations to design learning, work and cultures that honour the uniqueness of each of us. I started as a teacher, became a school principal at 27 (still quite amused by that), and won a bunch of awards. Since then, I've become a keynote speaker, strategy facilitator, and futurist of sorts and have worked with over educators and leaders globally to design experiences and environments where people can learn, belong, contribute, and actually feel alive. My fascination sits at the intersection of agency, performance, wellbeing, futures thinking, systems change and consciousness. When you meet me, you'll find a hyper-present curious person wanting to ask deep questions, which also means I can terrify people. Life up close can be tragic, from far away it's a comedy, so I try to sit in paradox as I work and live. My curiosity has driven me into a lot of applied study: two Masters degrees, exec studies at Harvard and Stanford, a fellowship at Stanford’s d.school and at Salzburg Global Seminar. I'm grateful to speak a number of languages, but my challenges for 2026 are reaching Chinese proficiency and publishing my first book. At heart, I’m an active achiever who wants to build things joyfully. I like focused risk, shipping work before it’s perfect, and doing hard things, like marathons, triathlons, adventure races, or taking social risk to strangers (which is how I met my now wife on a plane!) I’m interested in protecting what makes us human, especially in childhood where our foundations are laid (why I'm a non-Exec director at the Alannah & Madeline Foundation). I help schools and organisations evolve fast enough to meet the future without losing their soul. I'm always open to aligned collaborations, new ventures and doing work that matters. Here's to making this life count.
