Background
About Loya Brown
I’m passionate about helping my clients to thrive in their business by allowing them to do what they do best and not worry about the financial and accounting protocols that comes along with owning a business. I’m a certified public accountant who loves what I do for my clients and I always go the extra mile as I value the Nordstrom customer service motto “Make it personal”. I listen to my clients, customize a service plan that is right for their business, wrap it in a bow and deliver with a smile per plan. It is my mission to remove the element of surprise when it comes to knowing where your business stand compared to others in your industry, where your business is going and the plan to get there. WHO I WORK WITHMy clients are business owners in the industry of manufacturing and retail. I work with clients all over the country via Zoom, or locally here in Washington state.COMMUNITY SERVICE THEN AND NOW I grew up in a large family in Los Angeles, CA. I’m the seventh of eight children. I was always mesmerized by the stories told by my elderly neighbors whom I got to know very well. One of my elderly neighbors told me her husband died and that she did not know what to do with her taxes as her husband took care of the financial affairs. At age fifteen, I went to the library to learn all there was to know about completing the Federal and State Income tax forms. I completed my neighbor’s income tax at the library and others ask if I could help them with their taxes. The librarian asked me if I would start a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) at the library. I said yes, this was 1977. I continued volunteering at VITA while in college where I setup a booth in my dormitory lobby for students, faculty, and local residents. Today, I volunteer at soup kitchens, deliver blankets and clothing to the homeless in the winter months, speak at senior centers throughout my county on income tax planning and preparation, take time off to be a camp leader at youth summer camps. I’m a mom of my eighteen-year old son who is an Eagle Scout, during his term in scouting I was a Den leader and sat on the Board as Treasurer, Secretary and Advancement Chair. My About Page: https://synergeantsolutions.com/about-us/
