About Lubna Sen

Art is one of the most intense mode of individualism that the world has ever known. Thankfully this fact has not changed in our fast paced hi-tech life. It is still the way we express ourself most authentically - both as an artist and as a collector. My job is to connect both of them. I started my own journey in Art as a collector while working as a corporate professional. After completing my MBA I had worked for 15 years in the financial sector. While the corporate career gave me a strong foundation in professional ethics material success and recognition; I was looking for a bigger sense of fulfilment through the creative field. In 2012 I transitioned from an art connoisseur to a professional. I completed a course in Art Market from Sotheby’s Institute of Art London and in 2016 completed my two years M.A History of Art as a Batch Topper from National Museum Institute New Delhi. I also completed Art Appreciation courses from MOMA New York and National Museum Institute New Delhi. Today I work in the capacity of an Art Curator Art Consultant and Founder of my art promotion company The Art Route dedicated to education development and promotion of Visual Arts. All our initiatives are focused on broad basing public appreciation and patronage of visual arts in India. As an Art Curator I having been curating exhibitions in all genres of art for Government and Private Art Organisations like Lalit Kala Akademi Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts Home of Folk Art and NIV Art Centre. I have also independently organised several art exhibitions including - "Prarambh” – India’s first Student Art Festival" ( 2014-2015) "Confluence - Celebrating India Bangladesh Printmaking" India Habitat Centre New Delhi 2020 and The Spirit Remains Unlocked a Virtual Art Exhibition during lockdown in July 2020. As an Art Consultant I have worked with art collectors architects and interior designers in acquisition of fine art. I am involved with private art collectors in projects relating to cataloguing consolidation and curation of their private collections. I have also been associated with with architects and interior designers involved in prestigious interior projects providing art solutions to complement their design vision.
