About Luca Crocco

I am a partner in the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Global Antitrust and Competition Practice. My practice focuses on European and global competition law. Prior to joining Latham & Watkins in 2005, I practiced competition law and corporate law for four years at other leading international law firms in Milan. I assist clients in merger control proceedings before the European Commission and coordinate multi-jurisdictional merger filings for global transactions. Recent transactions where I advised on merger control issues include Nouryon/CP Kelco, Broadcom/Brocade, Coca Cola Hellenic/Bambi, Capitaland/Ascendas Singbridge, Microsoft/LinkedIn, CMA-CGM/NOL, Carlyle/Sedgwick, DENTSPLY/Sirona, Avago/Broadcom, KWE/APLL, Sisal/Banca5, Carlyle/CEPSA, Carlyle/Akzo Nobel, Temasek/Rivulis, Coca Cola Hellenic/Heineken/Stockday, AMD/Xilinx, DSV Panalpina/Agility, Coca Cola Hellenic/Caffe' Vergnano, MKS/Atotech, Agility/John Menzies, SATS/WFS, Rivulis/Jain, Coca Cola Hellenic/Finlandia, The Carlyle Group/Vantive. I also assist international companies before the European Commission in cartel and abuse of dominance proceedings. I have advised companies in major cartel investigations including Pre-Stressing Steel, Smart Card Chips, Power Cables, Optical Disk Drives, Car Radio and Navigation Systems. In the dominance field, I have advised most recently in the European Commission investigations on Car Refrigerants, Set Top Boxes and Carbonated Soft Drinks. I am a founder of antitrustitalia, a networking group for Brussels-based antitrust professionals, including enforcement officers, lawyers, economists, corporate counsel and scholars. Specialties: Advised companies in wide range of industries in EU and global antitrust investigations (cartels, restrictive agreements, abuses of dominant position) and EU and global merger control.
