About Luca Guerrini

I am a data-driven science enthusiast and experienced R&D professional with a strong background in Polymer Analytical Chemistry and Fermentation technology (E.coli, S.cerevisiae and mixed microbial cultures). Recently, I started delving deeper into downstream processing, to gain on the field a deeper understanding of today's industry standard technologies in bioprocessing. For the more curious, my skill toolbox includes: • A solid background in lab scale fermentation, utilizing AMBR250 high-throughput, Sartorius and Applikon fermenters (2L to 200L), DasGip systems, and self-built plastic fermenters (1L and 5L) • Hands on experience with pilot plant upstream and downstream unit operations (fermenters, centrifugation and MF units, filter presses, thermal treatment units and different drying equipment) • Proficiency in various IT systems, LIMS, SharePoint, Office suite and Scifeon.
