About Luca Leuzzi

Hey! Luca here! I like to consider myself a young researcher passionate about natural bioactive molecules, with a specific focus on their applications in pharmacology and therapeutics, as well as organic synthesis. I have always been fascinated by the latter, from my first encounter in high school to the present day; in fact, I have grown significantly in this field, diversifying my experiences over the years. During my university internships, I "grew up" among iron and titanium, dealing with various synthesis and catalysis topics and scopes, relating these to spectroscopic and non-spectroscopic analyses and characterizations. After that, I stepped sharply out of my comfort zone by starting several research activities in contexts vastly different from my favorites and what I was used to, which spurred me to improve even more. Throughout this experience, I interacted with different research groups and international personalities, establishing collaborations from an industrial perspective. In fact, I always strive to challenge myself when it comes to approaching new challenges or learning new concepts. If I'm not looking some crazy chemistry/synthesis videos/articles on internet, than I'm probably synthesizing in the lab!
