About Luca Montabone

I am a researcher with a background in physics and a deep interest in education, both formal and informal. I spent more than two decades in research and education in fluid dynamics and planetary physics, with a particular focus on the atmospheric circulation of the planet Mars and the behavior of vortices. More recently I got involved in planning space missions to Mars (e.g. the European/Russian ExoMars mission). Because I believe research is an intellectual process to acquire new knowledge, which all of us can learn and apply, I am strongly interested in informal learning through cooperative research facilitated by professional researchers (I call it c-research or "cresearch", see also paper further down). I have founded "Paneureka", an enterprise devoted to integrate research in education and outreach, with the purpose of helping people claim:"I understood everything!"
