About Luca Petricca

Graduate in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology with expertise in both biotechnology and Industrial Chemistry. During university, I have been able to gain experience (in Italy and abroad) in recombinant field, supporting laboratory activities using cell lines for cloning and expressing proteins, and in lab supporting the execution of studies of drugs transport across in-vitro models of physiological barriers, always in compliance with GLP standards. In the early years of my pharmaceutical industry job experience, I developed further skills covering technical roles in support of the production department under GMP regime, dealing with the production process monitoring, troubleshooting, problem solving, support in process investigations (local and multi- plant), execution of impact assessment of deviations and changes on the quality of intermediate products, with a focus on continuous improvement of the process, paying attention to the satisfaction of the quality requirements. Other skills I developed are data analysis by mean of statistical tools and the ability to interact with all departments, in order to cooperate and coordinate with the final purpose to achieve common goals. Actually I am responsible for the implementation, management and maintenance of the process monitoring strategy for two production plants, in order to guarantee the production efficiency and the quality of the products, preventing the occurrence of non-conformity. Moreover, I collaborate with global teams created in order to harmonize the approach of the different operating mechanisms, coordinating a global team in one of these initiatives. Temperamentally I consider myself a very sociable person, collaborative, with a strong aptitude for teamwork, aware of the responsibilities that each role entails; precise and attentive to detail.
