Background
About Lucas Clay
I currently work on carbon and climate solutions with the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business and the Drawdown Georgia Business Compact. I completed my PhD in Forest Resources at Clemson Universeity with a focus on Earth Systems Science and Nature-based Solutions. I am developing methodologies for greenhouse gas accounting and carbon market protocols to scale robust, scientifically valid carbon and ecosystem services projects that promote nature-based solutions for climate change mitigation. With extensive experience in the carbon market, I have engaged with hundreds of landowners in the southeast, discussing carbon opportunities and working on innovative projects and protocols. My passion for climate science drives my commitment to advancing global efforts in climate change mitigation and resilience.
