About Lucas Coiado Mota

With a strong academic foundation in Mechatronic Engineering from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Brazil, my passion for technology has guided my career. As a student, I took on leadership roles in Empresa Junior, where I served as the Director of Development and Management, as well as the Financial Coordinator. These experiences exposed me to the intricacies of project management, teamwork, leadership, strategic planning, and entrepreneurship. In 2015, I immersed myself in iOS development through the BEPiD program, in collaboration with Apple. Over the course of two years, I gained invaluable experience in iOS development, software development, project management, and entrepreneurship. This opportunity enabled me to deepen my knowledge of User Experience, Design Thinking, Business Modeling, and Software Development. Furthering my quest for diverse perspectives, I embarked on a year-long exchange program at ESIEE Paris in France. I was attracted to their emphasis on technological innovation and entrepreneurship. This experience allowed me to broaden my horizons and contribute to my expertise in computer science. Following the completion of my studies in France, I interned at Smart Apps, a Parisian startup. Here, I had the opportunity to enhance an iOS framework focused on creating user-friendly mobile applications, enhancing the museum experience for visitors. This international work experience empowered me to tackle complex problems, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and work with various technologies. Motivated by a deep desire to make a positive impact, I founded a company focused on enhancing the autonomy of individuals with disabilities through Smart Home Devices. Over a span of four and a half years, we developed an accessible Smart Home application and successfully deployed it in Medical Residences across France. Additionally, I led a team of five developers, utilizing the Scrum framework and diverse tech stacks, overseeing their creation, management, and growth. This experience afforded me invaluable expertise in Software Development, Project Management, Computer Networks, and Product Strategy.
