About Lucas Goodwin
I've been a student most of my life. My undergraduate degree is in literature. I have three Master's degrees (MA in Philosophy and Religion; MA in Mental Health Counseling; MA in Clinical Psychology), and I'm currently six years into a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Duquesne University. After I earned my second Master's degree, I worked in education in New York City, first as a teacher and then as an administrator (Director of Outreach and Admissions). I've worked extensively in community mental health with children, adolescents, and adults. Most recently, I completed my predoctoral internship at UNC Charlotte's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), where I served emerging adults with a wide variety of mental health needs. I'm passionate about both group and individual psychotherapy, community engaged research, and ethics.
