About Lucas Markowitz

Lucas Markowitz is an Associate in the Labor & Employment and Litigation Practice Groups at Offit Kurman. He concentrates his practice on employment litigation and arbitration, but also litigates a wide variety of complex commercial matters and counsels businesses on day-to-day legal issues. Lucas’ employment practice covers a full range of cases from single plaintiff discrimination claims to trade secret and restrictive covenant cases as well as class and collective actions. Lucas’ employment practice also includes significant employment law counseling work, counseling clients regarding compliance with all manner of employment laws and regulations. On the commercial litigation side, Lucas has litigated shareholder and partnership disputes, professional malpractice cases, and estate litigations. Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Lucas worked as a litigator and employment lawyer at a mid-size firm, and as an in-house counsel at a technology start-up company. Before that Lucas Markowitz was an associate in the labor and employment department of an Amlaw 100 firm. Lucas graduated from Rutgers School of Law in Newark where he was an Articles Editor for the Rutgers Law Review. Lucas earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Vermont where he graduated with departmental honors in economics.
