About Lucas Miles

I have always been a story teller, and always invested interest in the world of news and entertainment. Over time I realised how much society relies on the stories they share and the rise of modern media has only increased people’s ability to do that. I began writing articles and reviews at seventeen for a music and entertainment magazine in NSW through the Northern star, and from there I went on to study Journalism in Perth whilst doing work in the industry on occasion. During that time I wrote content for several online publications which mostly centered around local community news and Ice Hockey where, In my final year of my degree I began working for the Australian Ice Hockey League, and from there went on to Produce the online digital content for the league via the Perth Thunder. After doing this on a Freelance contract for over five years I acquired the skills necessary to create engaging online content for a particular demographic whilst working under strict deadlines, and have further expanded my skills to include understanding market trends and analysing specific businesses needs, as well as devlopeing effective strategies to promote a company's products or services. I am a passionate and hard working communications specialist, who is always eager to help improve on marketing operations or be the first to break a new story to an audience. I Have learnt to work in a high pace environment, and can produce engaging digital content and develop effective procedures to drive sales and enhance digital advertising campaigns, as well as manage social media platforms consistently, whilst working to meet expectations and timelines. I’m hoping now to continue creating content and sharing stories as part of a professional team in a mainstream environment.
