About Lucas Xavier

With over 10 years of experience in the fertilizer manufacturing field, I am a Product Manager at GTS do Campo and General Plant Manager at NuPrime, leading companies in the sector. I have a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida and a certificate in Engineering Management from Lockheed Martin and the University of Colorado Boulder. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Alagoas and a visiting program in Sustainability and Development Studies from Peking University. My work focuses on research and development of new fertilizers, integrating biological-based materials and molecular synthesis. I have developed and scaled up innovative production processes of highly concentrated fertilizer products, such as organo-mineral fertilizers and amino acid complexes. I have also contributed to the reduction of procurement costs of nutrients with in-house developments and the optimization of production plant management. I coordinate efforts among agronomic field researchers and chemical development work, and I manage two direct laboratory workers and nine production workers. I am passionate about creating sustainable and efficient solutions for the agricultural industry.
