About Lucia Bennett

I very passionate about teaching and learning. I teach both Spanish and English Language Development at the Boise School District. I have been teaching for the past eight years and have extensive knowledge as to how to create lesson plans which include learning objectives, detailed instructional activities, and formative/summative assessment to ensure effectiveness of learning plan for both the teacher and students. I also have participated on a team that developed intermediate and advanced Spanish curricula and assessments for the Boise School District which is implemented in eight junior highs and five high schools. I have provided guidance, mentoring, and assistance for career development of new employees and future teachers. This includes being a mentor for new district employees and supervising student teacher. I worked with professors and student teachers to plan and prioritize assigned work and provide feedback and evaluation upon completion. I enjoy teaching both adolescents and adults and helping them understand complicated lessons. Being able to facilitate learning and personal growth is gratifying rewarding.
