Background
About Lucia Bilro
I am the CTO and co-founder of Watgrid, where, together with an amazing team, we have been developing Winegrid®—a proprietary solution designed to help winemakers better monitor their wine production processes in real time and remotely. Our goal is to enable winemakers to extract the full potential of their grapes by providing advanced monitoring tools. On the academic front, I hold a PhD in Physics. As a Researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações, I worked extensively in the conceptual design of optical components, particularly in the development of fiber Bragg gratings and low-cost optical fiber sensors for different applications namely 3D optical printing, green photonics and water quality assessment. In my personal life, I cherish spending quality time with my family and friends, including my three wonderful daughters. I also enjoy, when time allows, immersing myself in a good book.
