In my current position, as a Process Operator, here are some of my job tasks that I do on a daily basis: • Conduct daily tasks such as making rounds on refinery equipment, checking temperatures, pressures, and oil levels. • Execute Lockout/Tagout procedures to prepare equipment for maintenance. • Use MOC database to be aware of changes within assigned units. • Work with Maximo writing work requests and desktop requisitions. • Apply general operator knowledge to my job. • Conduct Loss Prevention Observations and Safety Unit Walk throughs. • Complete tasks per procedures and refer to Refinery Instruction for each job when applicable. • Practice Safety. • Ensure plant is operating efficiently. • Analyze specifications and controls. • Ensure operation of processing units to produce fuel, kerosene, gasoline, and oils. • Read schedules. • Analyze oil samples. • Determine quality of product. • Operate knobs, switches, and levers. • Operate furnaces, compressors, exchangers, reactors, fractionators, absorbers, strippers, debutanizers. • Regulate pumps and compressors. • Perform repairs as necessary. • Check for leaks and faulty valves. • Patrol units to secure safety. • Report malfunctioning equipment. • Lubricate and clean equipment. • Circulate chemicals in process units. When I am given an opportunity, I quickly seize it and give it no hesitation. I don't aim to meet expectations, I strive to exceed it.
