About Lucy Aykroyd

I have worked as a pastoral lecturer at wakfield college for the past 18 months. I enjoy teaching employabilty skills and PHSE lessons. My teaching skills have developed to a high standard. I have prevoiusly worked as a part time beauty therapy lecturer for over 8 years, teaching level 1, 2 and 3 VTCT qualifications. I have gained a high standard of teaching skills through this process, which I now wish to develop further. I am passionate in my teaching delivery which I feel can only help students in their objectives. I have a wealth of experience in the beauty industry. I have enjoyed many different elements of the beauty world within my career. I have gained experience within senior therapist roles, management roles and lecturing jobs. This has enabled me to gain key mentoring, training and developing skills as well as excellent practical beauty therapy skills. I have ITEC Advanced Beauty Therapy Certificate, VTCT level 2 sports massage, IQA level 4, Cert-Ed (with outstanding grade),City and Guilds PTLLS,CTLLS and A1 Award. I have also worked for both St-Tropez and Decleor UK ltd as regional sales and development managers. In both these roles, I have excelled in training and developing Salons and spa.
