About Lucy Bloxham

With over eight years experience in the humanitarian sector, I bring a strong foundation in digital communications, content creation and strategic storytelling. Currently, I serve as a Communications Consultant at the World Food Programme (WFP) Innovation Accelerator, with a topic focus on emergency response, gender equality, livelihoods and innovative finance. In this role, I create and execute communication strategies and develop clear, impactful narratives, ensuring complex issues are communicated with both accuracy and empathy. Previously, I led digital strategy and content development for Concern Worldwide (UK), where I managed a talented content team, executed high-impact digital campaigns and headed overseas content-gathering missions in emergency contexts such as South Sudan, Ukraine and Chad. My journalistic background was integral to these efforts, enabling me to conduct in-depth interviews, capture stories and produce high-quality written and multimedia content that resonated with diverse audiences. I hold a BA in English, an MA in Shakespeare Studies and an NCTJ Diploma in Multimedia Journalism, blending analytical precision with creative storytelling to deliver messages that drive change.
